Account pairing

You can pair your account with those of other users. A paired account can receive data from you and send data to you in return.

In this section you will learn:

  • How to pair your account with another account

  • How to activate data sharing with another account

Send an invite

To pair your account with another, you send an invite to the account owner. To do this, you need to know the email address of the account.

Pairing tile

In the dashboard, click the Account pairing tile. The Account pairing window is displayed. . Enter the email address of the other account into the Email address input field. . Enter a name of your choice into the Nickname input field.

Pairing invite

Click the Send invite button. The invite is sent to the other account. The invite is displayed in the Pending invites tab until it has been accepted by the owner of the other account.

If the owner of the other account accepts the invite: You receive an email. The accounts are paired with one other. The account is moved to the Paired tab. The account is added to the endpoint list.

You can revoke an invite provided the recipient has not yet accepted it.

Select the invite in the Pending invites tab. The list entry turns green. . Click the Uninvite button.

Incoming invite

The procedure described above also works in reverse – you can be invited by another account. The Incoming line of the Account pairing tile displays the invites you have received but not yet processed.

In the dashboard, click the Account pairing tile. The Account pairing window is displayed. Select the invite in the Incoming invites tab. The list entry turns green. Click the Accept invite button. The two accounts are paired with one another. The account is moved to the Paired tab. The account is added to the endpoint list. The account owner is informed by email that you have accepted their invitation.

To decline the invite, click the Decline invite button in step 3.

The two accounts are not paired with one other.

Stop pairing

You can stop pairing with another account.

In the dashboard, click the Account pairing tile. The Account pairing window is displayed. Select the account in the Paired tab. The list entry turns green. Click the Remove pairing button. The two accounts are no longer paired with one another. The account is removed from the endpoint list. No further data is shared between the accounts.

Data sharing

Create a route

Routes for paired accounts are created and managed in the endpoint list:

  • The Send to section explains how the paired account can send data to your endpoints and groups.

  • The Receive from section explains how the paired account can receive data from your endpoints and groups.

Activate a route

For paired accounts to share data, you need to activate the routes:

Click the Control Center tile in the dashboard. The Control Center is opened and the endpoint list is displayed. Select the paired account from the endpoint list. The account details are displayed on the right. Toggle the Data flow switch to ON. The two accounts can share data.

To temporarily pause data sharing with the paired account, toggle the Data flow switch to OFF. To permanently disconnect from the paired account, stop pairing.
